Pro- Life, but I believe that abortion should remain available for rape, incest, the life of the mother and for extreme fetal deformity. However, I would still fund Planned Parenthood because they provide many non abortion services for women.

I believe that in the age of terrorism, we need to have a secure border. As a sovereign nation, we have a right to determine who comes into the US. Illegal immigration has resulted in millions and millions of people with unknown backgrounds to enter the US. Many of these people have criminal records in their country of origin. Many of them have committed serious crimes while present in the US. Illegal entry into the US cannot be rewarded with US citizenship or other benefits otherwise it will lead to more illegal immigration.

But I support decriminalization of marijuana so that it is treated as a non traffic citation with a civil fine, but without criminal penalties.

Military force should always be a last option. Generally, I do not want to send our young men and women into long sustained foreign conflicts unless clearly in the national interest under a strict test of same.
